Who We Are

Romania For Business SRL is an integrated professional services firm based in Bucharest — providing company formation, legal advice, accounting, licensing, real estate and recruitment services to international companies and individuals entering or operating in Romania. Our clients are based across the EU, the UK, the US and beyond — and they come to us because they need a team that speaks English, understands their home-country context, and can navigate every aspect of the Romanian regulatory and business environment on their behalf.

We are a small, expert team — and we are growing. Our growth comes directly from our clients’ needs: as we take on more international clients in more sectors, we need more specialists across our six service lines. If you are a qualified professional in law, accounting, HR, real estate or recruitment — and you want to work in an international, English-language environment with sophisticated clients — we want to hear from you.

Why Join Us

What we offer What that means for you
International client base Every client engagement involves cross-border business — foreign founders, multinationals, EU companies establishing Romanian entities, diaspora investors. You will build expertise in international business structures, not just domestic practice.
English as the working language All client communication, reports, proposals and most internal documents are in English. You will develop — or deepen — a professional English language capability that is genuinely valuable in the Romanian market.
Six integrated service lines We cover company formation, legal, accounting, licensing, real estate and HR under one roof. Depending on your specialisation, you will work alongside colleagues in other disciplines — giving you a broader view of how a complete business setup works than you would get in a single-function firm.
Real responsibility from Day 1 We are not a firm where junior professionals spend years on administrative tasks. If you join us, you will work on live client matters — drafting contracts, preparing licence applications, conducting property due diligence — with supervision and support from senior colleagues.
Flexible working arrangements Our work is organised around client deliverables, not office hours. We offer flexible and remote working arrangements for roles where client or regulatory obligations allow — with in-person time in Bucharest for team meetings and client-facing work.
A team you will learn from Our senior team has experience across Romanian and EU regulatory frameworks, international law, Big Four accounting practice, multinational HR, and institutional real estate. We invest in knowledge-sharing — internal briefings, legal and regulatory updates, and structured learning alongside client work.
Competitive compensation We benchmark our salaries against the Romanian professional services market and review annually. Performance-linked components are available for client-facing roles. All standard benefits (meal vouchers, private health insurance) are provided.

What We Look For — Across All Roles

Whatever your specialisation, every team member at Romania For Business SRL needs the following qualities. These are not requirements we write on job descriptions and forget — they are things we assess during the hiring process and reinforce through how we work.

Quality Why it matters at Romania For Business SRL
Strong professional English All client-facing communication is in English. Our clients are not Romanian speakers — they depend on us to explain complex Romanian regulatory and legal concepts in clear, professional English. This is not a nice-to-have: it is fundamental to the role.
Genuine expertise in your field We are a boutique firm, not a large generalist practice. Our clients pay for specialist knowledge — not for someone who will research the answer after the call. We hire professionals who know their subject thoroughly and stay current with it.
Client-first mindset Our clients are typically dealing with an unfamiliar country, an unfamiliar regulatory system and a high-stakes business decision. The ability to understand their situation empathetically — not just technically — is what distinguishes excellent professionals from competent ones.
Comfort with ambiguity International business moves quickly and not every situation fits a standard template. We are looking for people who can think independently, exercise good judgment and know when to escalate — not people who need a step-by-step manual for every situation.
Reliability and ownership In a small team, every person’s reliability matters. If you say you will deliver something by Thursday, we expect it by Thursday. We take deadlines seriously — both internally and with clients — and we expect our team to do the same.
Collaborative team spirit We work across six service lines — a lawyer will regularly need input from an accountant, and a recruiter will need help from the legal team. We are looking for people who share information generously, ask for help when they need it, and make the whole team stronger.

Frequently Asked Questions — Careers at Romania For Business

It depends on the role. Most client-facing roles (legal, regulatory, real estate, business development) require in-person presence in Bucharest for client meetings, notary appointments and authority visits — though they also involve significant remote working. Roles that are primarily research, analysis, payroll processing or accounting can be performed remotely from anywhere in Romania. We do not currently hire outside Romania. The job posting for each role specifies the location requirement.

No — we are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from any nationality. However, all team members must have the right to work in Romania, must understand Romanian law and regulatory systems at a professional level, and must be proficient in Romanian as well as English. For regulated professional roles (lawyer, accountant), the relevant Romanian professional registration (Baroul, CECCAR) is required.

Yes — English is the primary language of client communication at Romania For Business SRL. Every role — including operational and administrative positions — requires professional-level English, both written and spoken. This is not negotiable. Romanian is also required for all roles — both languages are used daily.

We occasionally hire junior professionals for specific roles — particularly in recruitment, operations and accounting — where strong potential and the right attitude outweigh years of experience. For legal, regulatory and real estate roles, a minimum of 3 years post-qualification or post-graduation experience is typically required. For executive search and senior advisory roles, 5+ years is the standard. If you are a recent graduate with exceptional English and a relevant qualification, you are welcome to send a speculative application — clearly noting that you are at the start of your career.

We benchmark our salaries against the Romanian professional services market — typically positioning between the 50th and 75th percentile for each role. For senior and specialist roles, we compete with multinational professional services firms on compensation. Specific salary ranges are discussed after the initial screening call — we do not publish fixed ranges because they vary significantly by role, experience level and employment type (full-time vs part-time vs contractor).

Yes — some roles are suitable for part-time (0.5–0.8 FTE) or contractor (PFA/SRL) arrangements, particularly accounting, payroll, HR consulting and legal consulting. The arrangement depends on the volume of work, the client-facing requirements of the role and your preference. If you are interested in a part-time or contractor arrangement, mention this in your cover letter — we consider all proposals.

From initial application to final offer: typically 3–4 weeks. Breakdown: initial review and contact (within 10 working days of application), screening call (within 1 week of contact), practical assessment (1 week to complete), final interview (within 1 week of assessment), offer (within 3 working days of final interview). We do not leave candidates waiting — if we need more time at any stage, we communicate it proactively.

All new employees are engaged on an indefinite-term employment contract (CIM) with a probation period of 90 calendar days (or 120 days for management roles) — as permitted under the Romanian Labour Code. During the probation period, either party can terminate without cause or severance, giving both the employee and the firm the chance to confirm the fit. We do not offer unpaid trial periods or probationary engagements outside the standard Labour Code framework.
