Yes — for most international companies entering Romania, Romania For Business SRL can coordinate every aspect of the business setup and ongoing administration. Company registration, first employee hire, ANAF accounting registration, operating licence, commercial lease or property acquisition, monthly payroll — all coordinated through a single English-speaking team. For specialist matters outside our direct scope (immigration for non-EU nationals, complex tax litigation, courtroom representation), we refer to our trusted specialist partner network.

For company formation: no — we complete the full company registration process by power of attorney (procură notarială), with the director signing a notarised document in their home country or before a Romanian consulate. For property purchases: the notary deed must be signed in Romania or via power of attorney. For employment matters: everything is handled remotely. For consultations: we work by video call for all initial and follow-up meetings. Physical presence in Bucharest is only required for specific official processes — we advise on each case.

A Romanian SRL registered by power of attorney (the most common route for international clients) is typically ready within 5–10 working days of receiving all required documents. The company formation process itself takes 3–5 working days at ONRC; document preparation and notarisation typically adds 5–7 days. A shelf (ready-made) company can be transferred to the buyer in 1–3 working days.

Yes. Every client communication — consultations, service proposals, contracts, reports, payroll summaries, due diligence reports, legal reviews — is provided in English. Official Romanian documents (company registration certificates, ANAF receipts, employment contracts) are in Romanian as required by law, but we always provide English translations or explanations alongside them.

Yes — the majority of our clients are based outside Romania. We work with clients across the EU, the UK, the US, the Middle East and beyond. All initial consultations, document review and advisory work is done remotely by video call and email. Romania-based activities (ONRC registration, notary appointments, regulatory authority submissions) are handled by our local team on the client’s behalf — in most cases without the client needing to travel.

The free initial consultation is a 30–45 minute video call or in-person meeting where we understand your business situation, goals and timeline. We map the relevant services, confirm which are applicable to your case, explain the process for each, and answer your questions. At the end of the consultation, we provide a written service proposal outlining the recommended scope, timeline and fees. There is no obligation to proceed and no fee for the consultation.

Most services are priced as fixed fees for a defined scope of work — confirmed in writing before any work begins. Some ongoing services (monthly accounting, payroll administration) are priced on a recurring monthly fee basis. Recruitment fees are charged on successful placement. Where the scope cannot be fixed upfront (complex litigation, bespoke regulatory advice), we agree an hourly rate or capped estimate before proceeding. No work begins without a written service agreement.
